Virtual reality

There are many ways to interact with a PC. It can be through wireless keyboards or some other means. But have you ever imagined having a cocoon in your home connected to the internet. Instead of giving commands through input devices like mouse or keyboard you can simply reach out and grab information from all around you. NAU is on the verge of developing such a virtual reality and a human sized dome. When you step into this cocoon you can see a 360 degree display screen and it has 3D surround sound. When the system loads mouse is not needed to navigate the screens. The motion tracking cameras will track your movements. There are separate cameras for tracing your movement in your arms, legs and face. A separate sensitive platform will detect whether you are walking or jumping.
The experience of using this impressive cocoon will be entirely different. You will feel completely immersed with the cocoon. The display, graphics, sound will make you feel great. The motion tracking cameras will make a realistic gaming experience. You can use your body to fight enemies in all directions. NAU is a specialized organization working for the developing better interaction with computers. The cocoons prototype will be released on 2009 and commercially available by 2014.

carsNow the world has seen many cars. Different models are there like sedan, super utility vehicles. The topic of discussion here is about fastest and expensive cars. Let us see about three cars. Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg CCR, McLaren F1.
Bugatti the fastest car can go up to 252 mph or 407 km/h. it has 16 cylinders 1001 PS, four turbo. The car can reach 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The Veyron is the fastest, powerful and the most expensive car in the world. The car has proven the top speed of 400 km/h experimentally. The price of the fastest car is one million Euros. Still now there has been no car having such a great price tag. Next Koenigsgg CCR the car has been designed with a aerodynamic body. The car can reach up to 395km/h. the body is designed to be smooth with very low drag coefficient of 0.30. The last but not the least is McLaren F1. This car was the first to use a carbon filter chassis and body. The engine is made up of BMW S70/2. It has 620 horsepower engine. The most fascinating aspect is the brake cooling and the ground plane shear suspension geometry. The car can reach up to 392 km/h.

Now all of them are using mobile. It may be a ordinary mobile or a multi featured mobile. All mobiles need power to operate. The power is supplied through battery. Normally battery lasts for 10 hours. For example Nokia is using BL-5C battery for their normal phones like 2626, 6100. Its backup time will be up to 10 hours. All of them worried about charging their batteries. Sometimes during emergency there will be no charge. Now US based company GainSpan Corp has invented a battery which lasts for 10 years. They have come with a solution for Wi-Fi enabled and power consuming mobiles. The company has designed a System-On-Chip (SOC). SOC means a system embedded in a single chip. The name of the chip is GS1010. It can make a AA size, 3.6 V battery which lasts for ten years when 100 bytes of transferred every minute. The ultimate aim of the organization is to focus on power management within the chip. The technology can be extended to other appliances like electronic toys, remotes, billing devices and so on. Keeping this in mind Honda motor recently started the production of FCX Clarity, the world’s first hydrogen powered fuel car. The company will produce just 200 of the futuristic vehicle over the next three years. But the manufacturer will increase the production as hydrogen filling stations become more common. Fuel-cell vehicles work by combining oxygen and hydrogen to make electricity. The by products will be water and heat. These cars have more advantage than electric cars as they take hours to recharge. We can drive the car for 450 kilometer on a tank. It is equal to gasoline car. The fuel cell vehicles have been a gamble for Honda and Toyota. The difference between the two rivals is the size of its fuel cell. In FCX Clarity the cells can be fitted in a box shaped unit, which is the size of a desktop PC. It weighs around 68 kilograms. The car can reach 0 to 95 kilometer per hour in less than nine seconds. The top speed of the car is 160 kilometer per hour. The big hurdle to mass production is the lack of hydrogen filling stations. For a human being there are three essential things. They are food, water and shelter. Now in this modern world there is another set of three entertainment things. They claimed to be important for teen agers. They are none other than a TV, mobile and laptop. There are many manufactures involved in developing these things. The leading brands of the mobile are Sony Erickson, Motorola, and Nokia. But every field has ranking. Recently awards for the best mobile have been announced. The survey has been taken among 1000 brands by a leading survey group called TMS.
For mobiles Nokia bagged the first place in India and across Asia pacific. Nokia has been in producing mobile phones for a long time. They have now introduced latest N series model N96 which is the first phone having 16 GB memory. Sony Erickson ranked second place in India and in other countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
In the television category for both LCD and plasma TV most people preferred Sony. They have gained so much popularity in Asia pacific except Japan. Samsung is in the next place. In laptops Indian people prefer HP than other popular brands like Compaq, Apple. Dell is getting good response.3stars

Requirements for radio communication

The use of satellite and fiber optics in recent years has made radio communication even more widespread with increasing emphasis on computer and other data communication. Now in this post we are going to see about basic requirements of radio communication. The requirements are transmitter to generate a high frequency carrier, a microphone to impress the intelligence upon the frequency carrier, transmitting antenna to radiate the high frequency carrier with intelligence impressed on it into free space, a receiving antenna to intercept a portion of the radiated electromagnetic waves travelling in free space, a receiver to select the desired wave to magnify the intercepted radio waves and to deselect the message and finally a loudspeaker to convert the detected AF electrical waves into sound waves and thus to reproduce back the original intelligence transmitted from the transmitting end.
